Seriously how many friends do you think you need in your entire life?

Friends that never meet for ages, decided to meet up and i can conclude that there are bound to have some silence/awkward moments. So should we call them close friends?

How close can oneself define?

Always meet up during the weekends for the sake of it?
Talk about everything under the old sun?
Finding common issues to talk about?
